    Montauk Point Lighthouse

    		The oldest lighthouse in New York State, the Montauk Point Lighthouse was erected in 1796. A museum on-site gives visitors an idea of the history behind this structure. It is 100 feet high and is still used as a navigational aid by seafarers.
